A systemic fungicide is absorbed into plant tissue and moves through the plant to control existing fungal infections and protect new growth. A contact fungicide stays on the surface and prevents spores from germinating — it requires good coverage and doesn't move inside the plant. Most disease management programmes use both in rotation.
Both contain the same active ingredient at the same concentration. SC (suspension concentrate) is a water-based formulation that mixes cleanly and is generally less phytotoxic at high temperatures.
